Your business is a living, breathing thing – and it needs its own voice. One of the best ways to regularly and consistently communicate with your audience is through blogging and article writing.
What a great blog does
Whether it’s once a week, once a month or once a quarter, I’m a Toronto-based blog writer who can help you put your knowledge, ideas and insights into an online format that others can learn from and enjoy.
When you commit to blogging on a schedule that fits with your current operations and future goals, you can:
- Increase web traffic
- Boost conversions, sales and customer engagement
- Get interactive and conversational
- Answer readers’ questions
- Entertain, inform and educate
Position yourself as a thought leader
The more you write, the more you demonstrate your expertise in the space. In particular, think of topics especially pertinent right now, or figure out the kinds of questions people are typing into the search engines to get the information they need.
What subjects within your industry can you speak to? Where does your experience lie? Are there areas of specialty you can talk about? Find ways to write on topics of interest that showcase your knowledge and authority.
There are a countless number of places online where we can obtain free information. In fact, it’s so commonplace that consumers have come to expect it. Be one of those places. When you offer your target audience accurate and valuable information that is not only a pleasure to read, but also trusted and relied upon, you build a following. And eventually, your followers can be nurtured into converted customers.
Sell without selling
Blogs and articles are great content mediums for giving your audience useful and interesting information. Answer a question. Solve a problem. Provide real value that keeps people coming back for more.
It’s not selling.
It’s communicating. It’s building. And it’s connecting. The sale comes later and it comes because you took the time to form a relationship with your audience first through engaging, informative and compelling content.
When I work on blogs and articles, here’s how I like to approach the project.
First, we have a detailed phone or video call where I gather the foundational information I need about you and your business.
If you already have a good idea of what you want, that’s great! If not, I’m happy to present several topic ideas for you to choose from.
Once topics are solidified, I put my research hat on. Learning and diving in deep to the subject matter, I plan your article accordingly.
Pen to paper, I write your blog and submit it to you for your feedback.
Together, we edit and polish with up to two rounds of revisions until we arrive at an exceptional finished product.
